San Francisco International (SFO) is about 30 minutes away. Choose the option that suits you, then let yourself in.
The simplest door-to-door option. Uber and Lyft run from SFO's designated pickup level; expect roughly 25–40 minutes depending on traffic.
Take BART from SFO toward the city, exit at Powell or Montgomery Street, then a quick rideshare or cable car up the hill. Budget-friendly and avoids traffic.
Door-to-door shared shuttles and private car services serve SFO. Worth booking ahead if you're arriving with a group or lots of luggage.
The Terrace Flat (Unit 3) has an elevator that opens directly into the flat. If you'd rather walk, it's two flights of stairs.
The Garden Flat (Unit 1) is at ground level — no stairs to the main living area. Its second bedroom sits privately below, reached by a European-style spiral staircase.
There is no parking at the building itself — no driveway, garage, or assigned space. Everything below is nearby parking: garages within a block or two, plus street parking. Like most of central San Francisco, it pays to plan ahead.
Covered valet parking, generally open 24/7. It's the closest and easiest option for overnight parking, and the one we point most guests to. Reserving ahead usually beats the drive-up rate.
Compare Garage PricesNever leave luggage, backpacks, shopping bags, or anything else visible in your car — on the street or in a garage. Pull up to the flat, unload everything, then go park.
You can often find street parking on Mason, Sacramento, California, and the surrounding Nob Hill blocks — but restrictions change from block to block, and enforcement here is active.
When in doubt, take the garage. It costs less than a ticket or a broken window.
Rates move around with the date, demand, and whatever is happening downtown — plan on roughly $40–$60 a night drive-up in this part of the city, and usually less when you book in advance.
Search Mason & California Street, San Francisco — the corner nearest the flats — on SpotHero with your arrival and departure times. It compares the nearby garages and lets you reserve and pay in advance, typically below the drive-up rate. ParkWhiz and ParkMobile work the same way.
Worth checking even if you're planning on Crocker — a garage a few blocks away is sometimes meaningfully cheaper for your particular dates.
For stays longer than a night or two, most of our guests park once and leave it there. The cable car stops a minute from the door, Muni and BART cover the rest of the city, and Waymo and Uber are everywhere.
Union Square, Chinatown, North Beach and the Ferry Building are all easy from here without driving — and you'll skip the hills, the space-hunting, and the tickets.
Nob Hill puts you at the centre of it — most of what you came for is a walk or a short ride away.
The cable car stops a one-minute walk away. Union Square, Chinatown, and North Beach are all walkable. Comfortable shoes are your best friend on these hills.
Rideshare, Waymo, Muni, and BART cover the rest of the city. Most guests who bring a car park it once and leave it there for the week.
Both flats are stocked with everything you need for a comfortable, self-sufficient stay.
The Garden Flat (Unit 1) is ground level — 1,000 sq ft, 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, with no stairs to the main living area. Its second bedroom sits privately below, reached by a European-style spiral staircase.
The Terrace Flat (Unit 3) is the top floor — a larger 1,400 sq ft layout with 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, a private roof terrace and sweeping city views, reached by an elevator that opens right into the flat.
Both can work, in different ways. The Terrace Flat has an elevator that opens directly into the flat, so there are no stairs at all once you're in the building. The Garden Flat's main living area is at ground level, though its second bedroom is down a spiral staircase.

Neither flat has a washer or dryer. This is the self-service laundromat we point guests to — coin-operated machines with change available on site, open every day of the year from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM, with the last wash at 9:30 PM. It's downhill on the way there and uphill on the way back, so pack accordingly.
